Antimosquito Work at St. Lucia

Major W. M. Hoddicu, of the Royal Engineers, has published a very interesting little pamphlet* on the work done by drainage and other works in St. Lucia in the West Indies in the years 1902-03. St. Lucia, like all other islands and ports in the West Indies, is gravely threatened by yellow fever, and as we have on another occasion noticed that the fear of this deadly fever has made anti-mosquito work in the West Indies and the Southern States of North America a much more real thing than the, generally speaking, imperfect attempts which have been made in India, except at Mian Mir.
